
Dana-Maxx Glams It Up At Greenhouse
A Preview of the Designer’s Two Latest Collections
New York, NY, May 6, 2009 – Dana-Maxx (http://www.dana-maxx.com) previewed the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter 2009 collections on Wednesday May 6th, 2009 from 8-11pm at Greenhouse in downtown New York City. The event was hosted by Janell Snowden, red carpet host for VH1 and was presented to high-end members of the press and VIP fashion influencers—a mix of fashion editors from top-tier magazines and newspapers, fashion online retailers and web site editors, fashion buyers, stylists, celebrities, broadcasters, wire and freelance photographers.
Among those in attendance were celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch and legendary Gwen Marder, while Jaslene Gonzales, former winner of America’s Next Top Model walked the Runway in Dana-Maxx’s designs. A surprise performance by talent Alexandra Alexis and Sarah Charness shortly followed. During the event, guests were served treats by Tasti D-lite and enjoyed a pampering lounge with hand massages by notable aesthetician, Caterina, manicures with M2M nail polish, celebrity manicurist and beauty blogger for hello beauty, Myrdith Leon-McCormick, and beauty treatments and tips by infamous Alicia Keys’ celebrity makeup artist, Ashunta Sheriff, who also prepped the models for the runway with dana’s loft salon team located in the Lower East Side.
The summer collection, Parisian Pop! were fun and flirty, focusing on bold uses of color, embracing the season while still looking sophisticated and stylish. Dana-Maxx’s attention to detail and true flair for adding small touches, was present and showcased in this collection, with the accented floral prints and detailed, intricate designs, making her clothing truly unique.
The fall line Sex, Love and Heartbreak, had a mysterious and futuristic edge, with looks beyond its time and an introduction to the trends soon to arrive in the fashion world, Dana-Maxx showcased a broad range from sophisticated cocktail dresses with subtle detail, to well styled, casual-dresses that managed to make plaid look sexy.
